Markus Draper, a Berlin-based artist with a decidedly architectural body of work, picks up where Ballard left off. If Ballard made absurdist science-fiction fantasy out of the claims that certain forms of modern architecture erode social codes and bonds, Draper imagines a world in which society’s dissolution has already run its course.
