Emilio Caravatti. Nubische Gewölbe: Lehmbau in Mali / Nubian vaults: Mud Brick architecture in Mali

Von Emilio Caravatti Architetto /  Sturm, Philipp

The republic of Mali, which claimed independence in 1960, is one of the world’s poorest countries. A large percentage of the population lacks access to technical or social infrastructure. In the savanna region of Beledougou, north of the capital Bamako, italian architect Emilio Caravatti and his brother have been collaborating with the nonprofit organization Africabougou since 2006 to improve living conditions through new public infrastructure.
