RWTH Aachen. Designed in Aachen – Built in South Africa

Von RWTH Aachen /  Sturm, Philipp

Since 2008, Christoph Chorherr has been developing Ithuba Community College in Montic, a township south of Johannesburg, through his NGO s²arch – social and sustainable architecture. Together with students from various European architecture schools, s²arch has planned and built school buildings for the regional community on a plot of land that an Austrian milk production company donated to the South African government—specifically for the construction of new education facilities.
