Friday, September 24 at 6.30 pm at Floating University, Berlin
The Love Tactic | Die Gefühletaktik culminates a decade of 72 Hour Urban Action editions engaging with the concept and practice of making public space, amidst a decade of citizen movements rising up around the world to fight and change cultures of domination, enclosure, and extraction.
Published by ARCH+, and commissioned by JenaKultur, this bilingual book is neither an exact summary or a complete documentation, nor purely a reflection. Much like the project itself, this publication points at ideas and concepts, and illustrates past moments when those ideas came to life in architectural form.
We will launch the book in two seperate events: September 22, 8.00 p.m. at KuBuS in Jena-Lobeda, and September 24, at 6.30 p.m. at Floating University in Berlin.
In Berlin, Gilly Karjevsky & Kerem Halbrecht (72 Hour Urban Action Co-Directors), Anh-Linh Ngo (ARCH+ Editor-in-Chief), Markus Niessner (niessnerdesign), and Jonas Zipf (JenaKultur Director) will present the book, followed by a panel discussion with Jennifer Aksu (Critical Urban Practitioner), Dorothee Halbrock (HALLO: Festspiele), and Lukasz Lendzinski (umschichten studio) on the theme: Tactical Urbanism for a broken world - How will we continue to make cities together in the next decade?
Join us for a dance party starting at 8.30 p.m.
The book will be available for purchase at the event. We follow the Berlin senate’s Covid-19 guidelines. Please remember that visitors need a negative test result from the same day, proof of full vaccination or recovery. The site is wheelchair accessible.
