Next September 2026, the first ever Pan-African Biennale, Shifting the Center: From Fragility to Resilience, will take place in Nairobi. On the occasion of the release of ARCH+ 262: African Spatial Thinking | Denkraum Afrika, initiator and architect Omar Degan will discuss why the time has come for a Pan-African platform that defines its own voices, concepts, and agendas. Shifting the Center seeks to recalibrate the epistemic and spatial coordinates from which architecture’s global future is negotiated.
