This photographic essay by Armin Linke was commissioned by Agency for Better Living. It was developed as a participatory photographic observation in Vienna and Rome and portrays spaces of negotiation, team building, planning, administration, and self-organization. The photographs explore the intricate dynamics of legal and economic models, policymaking, community building, and priority setting. They show the places where practices of designing, planning, empowering, negotiating, testing, documenting, prototyping, and implementing shape collective futures and map the complex knowledge infrastructures, tools, and landscapes that sustain these social practices.
