Mapping Global Displacement and Migration: Nexus Dynamics Between Conflict & Violence and Climate Disaster

In recent years, conflict research institutes have recorded a significant rise in global violence. According to the Uppsala Conflict Data Program (UCDP), the number of armed conflicts in 2025 reached its highest level since the end of the Second World War. Climate change acts as an amplifier of existing crises: resource scarcity, political instability, social tensions, and displacement reinforce and intensify one another. Tiffany Chung examines these entanglements. Her embroideries translate scientific datasets into maps that reveal global connections without reducing them to linear causal models.
