Arper: Aeeri Design by Peter Kunz, 2022

Like origami creations that fold paper into form, the new Aeeri table by Arper bends a single sheet of steel into a slender sculpture. Incredibly thin and light - with a radically minimalist gesture: the line of
the form is traced to express the essence of a table. The result is a piece of furniture with a clean, timeless and elegant look. At once strikingly thin yet sturdy and sound, Aeeri appears to have been created through sheer magic.

The minimalist form of Aeeri is a true masterpiece, inspired by the Monocoque technology, which utilizes a hollow space under an external skin in order to achieve high rigidity with little mass. Made from a single sheet of folded steel just 1 millimeter thick, the tabletop is rigid and strong, yet adapts to find stability on slanted floors. Aeeri is equally at home from atelier to dining room. Finished in black, white, or red-painted steel, the top pairs with matching metal legs, available in two different heights, for a sophisticated industrial look, or wooden legs in FSC-certified European oak, in either natural or black finishes.

In line with Arper’s sustainability philosophy, Aeeri consists of only five lightweight and sustainable components that ship flat-packed. In addition, the individual parts of the table can be easily disassembled at the end of its use and sorted for recycling.
