(Counter-)Hegemonic Visual Politics in Contemporary Viennese Housing

The visual politics of housing in Red Vienna reflected social democratic values by placing emphasis on providing citizens with affordable and sufficient accommodation. A hundred years later, new images of housing have joined them. Today, the geographic and territorial boundaries of visual (re)production are no longer tied to the city limits of Vienna, as digital platforms enable the dissemination of housing imagery at an entirely different scale.
